Welcome to Arlandica
Officially the Kingdom of Arlandica, once known as Arland. You’re stepping into a self-proclaimed sovereign state, often called a micronation by outside observers, but to its citizens, it's something far more meaningful.

About Us
As you explore Arlandica, you’ll discover that it's both an enclave and an exclave, with its territories spread across the Philippine archipelago. The kingdom is made up of nine provinces: Mainland Arlandica, Busawan, Esperanza, Galrea, Lémarita, Libertad, Nueva Bago, Paddaya, and San Lazaro. At the heart of it all lies Santo Niño City, the official capital located in Eastern Mindanao.

HISTORY

Founded on April 20, 2020, Arlandica is now five years into its journey, established under the leadership of King Jerold I, who remains the reigning monarch. Arlandica claims to be the successor of the historical Realm of Davao Gulf, once led by Datu Bago from 1800 to 1850.

MONARCHY

In Arlandica, the monarchy plays a central role. The King of Arlandica serves as both head of state and head of government, holding executive and judicial powers. The monarchy draws strong inspiration from European models, especially those of the United Kingdom and Spain, adopting many traditions, titles, and ceremonial customs. This fusion of Western heritage with Arlandica’s own identity gives the kingdom a unique cultural character.

PARLIAMENT

If you’re curious about Arlandica’s political system, the Parliament is where legislative authority resides. Citizens elect representatives from each province for one-year terms, forming a unicameral body led by a president. Parliament members introduce laws known as bills, which become acts of Parliament once ratified. The monarch opens and closes each legislative session, while the Parliament’s president is chosen internally to guide its proceedings.

SUPREME COURT

Judicial matters are handled by the Supreme Court, the highest and only court in Arlandica. The King serves as the High Judge, supported by the President of the Supreme Court. Together, they oversee the interpretation of laws and resolve constitutional and micronational legal issues.

Official Gazette
This is the central and authoritative source for all official issuances of the Arlandican government. In the spirit of transparency and accountability, this publication contains Acts of Parliament, Royal Decrees, Codes, Judicial Decisions, and other official policies. All entries herein are legally recognized and form part of the permanent public record of the Kingdom.

Purpose
The micronation is primarily a personal micronational project established by its founders, with a strong emphasis on education in leadership, political awareness, state-building, and legislative simulation for its citizens, particularly the youth. It operates with a symbolic political identity and holds no intention of opposing the authority of the government of the Republic of the Philippines.

CULTURE

The Arlandican people, as citizens of a micronation deeply rooted in Filipino heritage, embody the rich traditions and enduring values of the Philippines. Among the most significant of these is the cultural trait of utang na loob—a profound sense of gratitude and moral obligation to repay favors and kindness received. This principle continues to shape interpersonal relationships and civic duties across Arlandican society.

Arlandican culture also places great importance on personal alliances, which are often grounded in mutual obligation, friendship, shared religious beliefs, and trade. At the heart of social interaction is the value of pakikisama, or the ability to get along with others—an essential element in promoting harmony, cooperation, and unity within the community. Respect for elders and figures of authority remains a cornerstone of Arlandican etiquette, demonstrated through traditional Filipino gestures such as the mano, the respectful use of honorifics like po and opo, and the familial terms kuya and ate to address older siblings or peers.

Equally vital is the spirit of bayanihan, a cultural expression of communal unity and collective effort. This spirit is most evident during times of hardship or shared endeavors, where community members willingly come together to support one another and achieve common goals. It reflects not only Arlandica's resilience but also its commitment to solidarity.

To preserve social order and personal dignity, Arlandicans uphold the values of hiya (a sense of shame) and amor propio (self-worth or self-respect).
